Life-Altering Zofran Side Effects for Some Unborn Babies

Studies published more than 20 years after the drug’s approval found Zofran use during pregnancy may increase an unborn baby’s risk of developing certain birth defects.

A 2012 study linked Zofran use during the first trimester of pregnancy to a twofold increased risk of a cleft palate birth defect. In 2013, a group of researchers reviewed Danish registry data from nearly 900,000 pregnancies and associated Zofran with a twofold increased risk of congenital heart defects.

GlaxoSmithKline didn’t warn mothers or physicians about these risks and many children suffered the consequences. If your child is a victim of Zofran, we may be able to help you.
